BETH C. ALBERTO, Au. D., was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio and completed her Masters degree in audiology at Bowling Green State University in Ohio and her Doctorate in audiology at the University of Florida. She has over 25 years of experience in the evaluation of persons with hearing impairment and in fitting hearing instruments. Dr. Alberto moved to South Carolina in 2000 when she acquired Hearing Care of Summerville. She is nationally certified in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She is married and has 2 children, a daughter who is an RN in Chicago and a son who is an associate director of financial aid at The Citadel. She also has a stepdaughter who is a pharmacist in The Phillipines. Dr. Alberto enjoys crocheting, reading, traveling with her husband and playing with her grandson. Her favorite sound is piano music. |

Sarah Waddington is our Hearing Aid Specialist, HAS-473. She grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, but after enjoying several different locales, Sarah decided to call Charleston home about 8 years ago. After graduating from Wake Forest University, Sarah spent many years in medical and pharmaceutical sales before settling into hearing care. She is a brand new addition to Dr. Alberto’s practice. Sarah speaks fluent Spanish and enjoys watching movies, Cirque du Soliel, & professional ice skating, as well as traveling and supporting the Performing Arts including Spoleto. Her favorite sound is Christmas music which she sings with her beautiful four year old daughter, Caroline. |

Linda Hendrix, our Office Manager, was born in Miami, Florida but has lived in South Carolina for over 30 years. She began her career in accounting and administration, working for numerous companies before taking time off to assist in the care and education of her severely hearing impaired son. During this time, Linda learned extensively in the areas of speech therapy and audiology. After her son was independently living on his own, she briefly assisted with legal work for an attorney before her employment with Dr. Alberto. In addition to her son, Linda also has one daughter and four grandchildren. She enjoys boating and water sports and, not surprisingly, the sounds of the ocean are among her favorite sounds. |

Randi McKernan is our Patient Care Coordinator. She grew up in a military family and has lived in 4 states and 2 countries. She attended school while working as an assistant manager for a jewelry boutique before giving birth to her son in 2005. Randi, her husband Preston who is in the United States Coast Guard, and Cody moved to Summerville in 2007. She began working with Dr. Alberto in October of that year. She enjoys having fun with her family which recently expanded with the birth of Alex Robert McKernan on November 1, 2008. Randi’s favorite sound is her son Cody’s laughter. |

Lolli Haugh is the Practice Development Representative for Hearing Care of Summerville. Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, she has lived in Charleston, South Carolina since 1982. A graduate of Bishop England High School and the College of Charleston, she also earned a Masters degree in Nutrition from Winthrop University. After graduation, Lolli spent five years working in the Office of Admissions at The Citadel where she met her husband Josh. She came to Dr. Alberto’s practice after working as a Nutrition Educator in the Women, Infants, and Children program at the Summerville Health Department. Lolli enjoys playing with her family, scrapbooking, cooking and baking. Her favorite sound is her 1 year old son Avery’s giggles. |

Avery Haugh is the ambassador for Hearing Care of Summerville. Ever since this young lad caught Dr. Alberto’s eye in April 2007, he has graced the pages of various newspapers and has been seen on televisions in households throughout the Summerville area. In his free time, Avery enjoys watching Sesame Street, playing with his dog Shiloh, and visiting his grandparents. His favorite sound is his mom calling him to the table to eat! |
